Nice to meet you!

I’m Jasmine. Call me Jas!

I am a twenty-something-year-old, who is a curious cat about most things: cruelty-free beauty, style, personal growth, and self-care. You can find me wandering around the Bay Area with my handsome partner. We enjoy discovering new places, good food, and fun times all while drinking plenty of coffee. When I’m not out and about or working my 9-5 job, I spend my days writing about a new favorite lipstick to tips on self-love and my nights include the couch, my cats, a murder mystery, and snacks.

It seems that most people ask themselves, should I start a blog? Having asked that question several times during high school, community college, university and now, after graduation, I’ve decided to dip my toes into the blogging community.

Why start now? I’m seeking a sense of belonging and friendship. Writing about my experiences and discoveries, I want to connect with others (yes, that includes you!) and encourage mindful action and discussion about making the world a kinder place. Let’s chat about everything best for you, me, animals, and our planet. The Kind Californian is a place of comfort and solitude, where I explore anything I may fancy.

Grab a cup of coffee (or tea, kombucha, beer, wine – no judgement here!) and stay awhile.

  • Someone just said that my skin looks like a baby's 😂 Thank you, but it's this combo right here. I have redness, acne, and scars but these two help with all of the above! What's your go-to foundation?
  • Do any of you break out the glitter this time of year? I feel like it's appropriate during the holidays (even though I wear it year-round ✨).
  • Love a classic red lip for the holidays. I just posted a very simple holiday makeup look featuring glitter and this lipstick. Link in bio 💞
  • OoOoOOo, one of my favorite highlighters is going to be in my new #blogmas post. Keep your eyes peeled, but sunnies on 😎
  • Went to the most magical boutique over the weekend! I want to spend my days surrounded by giant stuffed animals.
  • You can still wear fluffy sweaters when you get older, right?
